[The Epoch Times, June 21, 2023](Epoch Times reporter Hong Ning interviewed and reported) Recently, the new crown epidemic in mainland China has rebounded, and a large number of people have been infected. Some patients said, “This virus is terrible, it is an invisible killer.”

This is the first wave of large-scale infections since the CCP suddenly released the lockdown at the end of last year, causing a large number of infected people to die. Beginning in April, the number of people who were positive for the first infection increased. Since May, the number of “two yang” has increased greatly, and some elderly people have died of white lung disease following being infected with underlying diseases.

Yu Li (pseudonym), a doctor in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, told The Epoch Times on June 16 that there were “a lot of people in Eryang, a lot of people were hospitalized, and some elderly people died following being infected.”

Wang Yi (pseudonym) from Nantong, Jiangsu Province was infected with the virus for the first time, and her symptoms were severe, and she did not recover for more than 20 days. “I don’t know how to get it either.”

Wang Yi told The Epoch Times on the 17th that on May 25th, he started to suffer from headaches, bone pains and body pains. He went to the hospital on the 26th and tested positive. After that, he developed fever, sweating, insomnia, diarrhea until he collapsed, and dizziness. On the 18th day, he began to pant. Out of breath.

Ms. Liao from Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, went to the hospital on June 12 and became positive. She told the reporter that this was the first time she had positive symptoms. She had severe symptoms, fever, dizziness and nausea, and then developed pneumonia. “This virus is terrible, it is an invisible killer, and there will be sequelae following sexual intercourse.”

In the southern city of Fuzhou, “in the past month or so, the second wave of infections has been very serious,” A Liang, a Fuzhou resident, told The Epoch Times. Many people around him were infected. “Although the symptoms were not as severe as the first wave and were much milder, the contagion is still very strong.”

Physician Bai of Beijing Anzhen Hospital also posted on social media that he had Er Yang, and the director of the department, Shou Yang, had severe symptoms. They were all infected by a patient.

This wave of the epidemic has a greater impact on the elderly with underlying diseases, and white lung deaths have occurred. Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued an article on the Physician Network, stating that the number of patients visiting fever clinics across the country has recently increased, and patients with low immunity, older age, or serious underlying diseases are more likely to be infected with pneumonia.

A resident of Pudong, Shanghai told reporters on the 21st that his father had recently developed white lung and died following being infected with the new crown. Netizen Tiantian also claimed that her father died following Eryang.

The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Communist Party of China issued a report on the situation of the new coronavirus infection in May on June 11, stating that 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and Xinjiang reported 2,777 new severe cases and 164 deaths, all of which were secret. Keron mutant strains, the top three are XBB.1.9, XBB.1.16, XBB.1.5 and subclades.

As the CCP authorities have consistently concealed the epidemic, it is unclear how many people were infected in the new round of the epidemic.

Lu media reported that Zhong Nanshan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, predicted that there may be a second peak of the epidemic at the end of June, with as many as 65 million people infected every week. This will be the first major infection period on the mainland since the lockdown was fully lifted in December last year. The outside world is concerned that the huge number of infections may put pressure on China’s medical system. ◇
