The criminal proceedings surrounding the investment company KitzVenture from Innsbruck are entering a second round. The verdict against managing director Patrick Landrock was overturned by the Supreme Court (OGH) after an appeal for nullity. In September 2023, he was found guilty of feigning willingness and ability to pay and sentenced to an unconditional prison sentence: He is said to have enticed media companies to place advertising.
The process must now be reopened. Lawyer Norbert Wess wants to obtain an acquittal for his client. The managing director was legally acquitted of the accusation of having harmed investors by advertising investments with 9.75 percent interest in the main hearing in 2023. Another defendant was also acquitted at that time.
