An investigation has indeed been opened concerning a prison officer who was allegedly caught in possession of mastiffs at the Pukkelpop festival, the Limburg prosecutor’s office confirmed on Monday.

“The Limburg public prosecutor’s office confirms that a judicial investigation is underway concerning the possession and possible trafficking of narcotics by a prison officer who was present at the Pukkelpop festival last weekend,” said the spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office, Marijke Teunis.
The police present at the festival had found the 39-year-old man in possession of a small amount of narcotics.
