Thalayolaparamp ∙ A jewelery owner has filed a complaint against Puthanpurakkal Krishnendu (27) and her husband Ananthu Unni (29), the first accused and DYFI regional joint secretary in the case of fraud of Rs 42.72 lakhs from a private money transfer firm. MP Shukur of Vadakara Bismillah Mansil, who runs a jewelery shop in Talayolaparam Vettikkattumuk, lodged a complaint with the Talayolaparam police that Krishnaendu and Ananthu had committed a fraud of Rs 47.79 lakhs. Police started investigation.
Shukur’s complaint is that Krishnendu and Ananthu Unni bought 940.55 grams of gold from his jeweler on different days in July for the purpose of marriage of poor girls and the price of gold worth Rs. 47.79 lakh was not paid despite repeated demands.
The new complaint is pending against Krishnandu in the case of embezzling Rs 42 lakh from the company where he worked. Krishnendu and the second accused Devi Prajit are absconding in that case.
