This Tuesday, the The Prosecutor’s Office announced the opening of an investigation against Cristian “Koko” Stambuk, vocalist of the band Glup, for the crime of sexual harassment in public spaces after a complaint filed by the Municipality of Casablanca, Valparaíso region.

This is a judicial action due to the situation suffered by the host of the Casablanca 2024 Harvest Festival, Melina Noto, after he tried to forcefully kiss her in front of the public.

In the record of the events, members of the band are seen saying goodbye to the entertainer in question and Mayor Francisco Riquelme, this after finishing their show. At that moment is when the vocalist takes – without her consent – the host’s face and tries to kiss her.

According to information from Radio Bío BíoGiven this, the Public Ministry will carry out the corresponding procedures, starting by making contact with the victim. This was announced by the chief prosecutor of Casablanca, Samuel Núñez.

“During the morning We have received the legal director of the Municipality of Casablanca, together with the director of the Women’s Office of the same municipality, who presented a written complaint related to the events that occurred last Sunday at the Harvest Festival“he explained.

In that sense, he explained that “the complaint attributes to the vocalist of a well-known Chilean musical band -Koko Stambuk from Glup- the commission of an illegal act of sexual harassment in public spaces.”

Thus, “we have received the complaint” and “a case is going to be initiated, we are going to investigate it and the appropriate procedures will be carried out”he asserted.
