The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association revealed, on Sunday, that it will change the name of the Premier League, starting from next season.
Ahmed Diab, head of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, said during a ceremony held in the New Administrative Capital; Starting next season, the name of the competition will be “Nile League”, following the Nile Real Estate Development Company obtained the sponsorship rights.
With regard to mass clubs, he stressed that they must be preserved, through the presence of affiliated football companies.
He added that there will be a new design for the league shield, which will be manufactured in Britain, starting next season.
Diab continued: “The Clubs Association has succeeded in returning the fans to the stands, and is seeking to set regulations commensurate with the development of the competition.”
He concluded by saying that the Egyptian Clubs Association “obtained the right to host the Congress of World Leagues Leagues,” thanking the club presidents for their confidence in the association.
