The Italian team Ferrarithe most awarded in the history of the Formula 1presented its new car this Tuesday “SF-24”.
The vehicle will be the last one the Spaniard will drive. Carlos Sainzas he will leave his seat in 2025 to the Englishman and seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton.
The “SF-24”, the seventieth Ferrari car built for the Formula 1 world championship, was presented to all motor fans virtually.
The car maintains the classic and historic red color that represents this historic team, although it includes white and yellow details that, in addition to having an aesthetic function, want to represent a link with the city of Modena, birthplace of Enzo Ferrari.
Black, on the other hand, loses prominence, as it is only present in the lower part of the car and in the protective halo.
The Monegasque Charles Leclerc, who renewed for several years with the Italian team, commented that he “likes the new project a lot”, especially “the white and yellow details of the bodywork”.
However, his main interest is not aesthetics: “The ‘SF-24’ promises to be less sensitive and more manageable, and I would say that for us it is exactly what we need to be able to do it well.”
Carlos Sainz, for his part, highlighted that “The objective is to have a more manageable car and therefore with a constant race pace, which are the basic requirements to be able to fight for victory”.
The drivers, who last year had the opportunity to test the car at the legendary Fiorano circuit in Maranello (Modena), the home of Ferrari, will have to wait a few days to do their first tests with the ‘Prancing Horse’, although they will be before the official tests in Bahrain for commercial reasons.
For his part, the general director of the Ferrari team, the Frenchman Fred Vasseurassured that he was determined to maintain the level of the end of last season.
“This year we have to start once more from where we stopped at the end of last season, when we were constantly in the first positions,” said the manager.
