Mercedes-Benz will soon be introducing the e-Citan. It is equal to the combustion models except for the range and top speed. The drive package is the same as for the Kangoo E-Tech from development partner Renault: the peak output of the engine is 90 kW (122 hp). It develops 245 Newton meters of torque and brings the e-Citan to a top speed of 132 km/h, which is completely sufficient for the purpose.

The battery has a capacity of 45 kilowatt hours. With a standard consumption of around 19 kWh, Mercedes promises a range of around 280 kilometers. Recuperation can be adjusted in three stages using the selector lever for the direction of travel.

The delivery van charges with eleven kW as standard, with options for up to 22 kW. A full charge should take four and a half or two and a half hours. A fast charging station can charge up to 80 kW of electricity. In just under 40 minutes, it should go from ten to 80 percent.

The e-Citan is available in all versions of its petrol and diesel-powered siblings. The loading volume is 2.9 cubic meters in the compact version and 3.6 in the long version. And even with a trailer load of up to 1450 kilograms, it is on an equal footing with them. Net prices start at around 36,000 euros. (awm)
