Riyadh: The ‘Masmoo’ cabin project, which provides library services in public places where people gather, has started in Riyadh. An audio book kiosk has been set up at the King Fahd National Library Park.
Library Authority CEO Dr. Abdurrahman Bin Nasser Al Asim inaugurated the cabin. Visitors to the park can read books in a convenient way. It is one of the flagship initiatives of the Library Authority. The audio cabin was launched in Riyadh as the second phase of the project launched by the authority in AlAhsa city earlier this year. Apart from Riyadh, several such cabins will be set up in Jeddah and the Eastern Province.
The authority aims to introduce Audio Cabin as a source of knowledge. By making audio books available at key locations, people in all regions of the country are making access to the portals of knowledge easier. It is the revitalization of cultural heritage in innovative ways to meet the objectives of the Authority. The cabin is ready for anyone to use quickly.

The cabin will allow users to listen to audio content via mobile phone. Books can be browsed and listened to by size, subject, most listened to, and more. Then select the desired audio file and listen. People can listen to a short clip directly through the device, or listen to the entire audio file through a mobile phone by scanning a QR code.
