“I had a good feeling from the very first moment, I felt very welcome in the talks with Lisa Makas and Stefan Kenesei and was very well received. The club has ambitious goals for the future, just like me. We want to get into the Champions League together. The idea and the type of football also suit me perfectly, so I’m very happy to be here,” says Dominique Bruinenberg.
In recent years, the central midfielder has been under contract with Hellas Verona in Italy, AFC Sunderland and FC Everton in England and SC Sand in Germany and can look back on 60 games in three top nations. From 2011 to 2016, Bruinenberg spent her time in the Netherlands with SC Telstar and ADO Den Haag before venturing abroad.
In 2019, the former youth international returned to her homeland to PEC Zwolle, in the 2021/22 season she laced up her football boots in Germany. Most recently, she was an absolute regular at Telstar, where she didn’t miss a single minute last season.
Lisa Makas, athletic director: “We are really happy to have signed a very experienced player in Dominique. It was clear to me that our young team also needed one or two older players to strengthen us. She will help us enormously with her footballing qualities on the field and in decisive games and can steer the team from the midfield center and keep it together.”
