Metta introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbots on its platforms Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger in several countries of the African continent including Pakistan and India.
Remember that earlier these chatbots were only being tested and only limited users were given access to AI chatbots in various countries including Pakistan.
However, now this facility has been made available to all users of all countries.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that AI chatbots have been introduced in several countries including Pakistan and India.
Under the mentioned feature, the system will answer the word or question any user will write in the AI inbox search like ChatGBT’s bot with the help of AI.
For example, any user will simply type the word ‘Eid’ in the search bar, then the chatbot of WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram will provide him with basic and general information related to Eid.
Similarly, any user will ask the chatbot to provide information or content on any particular topic, Meta’s AI system will provide him information or content on the said topic.
Apart from this, you can also create AI images through the mentioned feature. For example, if you write in the search bar that there is a person running on Mars, it can create a similar AI image for you.
Not only this, but with this chatbot you can also know about recent news and events.
You can use this feature not only on Android but also on the website.
Chatbots introduced on all Meta platforms are working like ChatGBT.

**Interview with Dr. Amina Okoro, AI Technology Expert**
**Editor**: Thank you for joining us today, Dr. Okoro. Metta recently introduced AI chatbots across its platforms in several African countries and Pakistan. What do you think this means for communication in these regions?
**Dr. Okoro**: Thank you for having me. The introduction of AI chatbots by Metta is significant because it enhances communication accessibility. In many areas, especially in Africa and Pakistan, these platforms are essential for personal and business communication. The chatbots can improve user engagement, provide instant customer service, and facilitate information dissemination.
**Editor**: How do you see the integration of AI chatbots impacting businesses in these economies?
**Dr. Okoro**: Many small and medium enterprises will likely benefit the most. The chatbots can handle customer inquiries 24/7, which frees up human resources for more complex tasks. This leads to improved efficiency and can significantly cut costs for businesses, allowing them to compete better in a global market.
**Editor**: Are there any potential downsides to this technological advancement in these regions?
**Dr. Okoro**: Yes, while there are many benefits, there are also challenges. These include concerns about data privacy, the potential loss of jobs for those in customer service roles, and ensuring that these AI systems are culturally and linguistically relevant to the users. It’s vital that companies invest in training and resources to address these issues.
**Editor**: What measures do you think should be taken to ensure the responsible use of AI chatbots?
**Dr. Okoro**: Transparency is key. Companies must disclose how data is used and stored. Additionally, having local experts involved in developing and monitoring these technologies will help ensure that they meet the needs of diverse populations. Public awareness campaigns can also help users understand their rights and how to navigate these platforms safely.
**Editor**: how do you foresee the future of AI communication tools in these regions?
**Dr. Okoro**: I believe we will see rapid growth in the use of AI communication tools. This can democratize access to information and services, leading to greater social and economic development. However, it requires a collaborative effort from tech companies, governments, and communities to address ethical and practical challenges along the way.
**Editor**: Thank you, Dr. Okoro, for your insights into the impact of AI chatbots on communication in Africa and Pakistan.
