Introducing a new feature for WhatsApp calling by Metta

WhatsApp is not only used for messages, but also for audio and video calls.

This is the reason why WhatsApp has announced to introduce a few features to improve the calling experience. The Meta-owned messaging app has improved screen sharing and video calling.

In August 2023, WhatsApp introduced screen sharing support for video calls. Now this feature has been improved and it is possible to share screen as well as audio.

This will allow you to watch videos with your contacts during a WhatsApp call.

Video calling has also been improved and now you can make up to 32 people a part of a video call across all devices.

Even before this update you could add 32 people on a video call but you could do it only on mobile devices but now it is possible in desktop apps as well.

Meta has also introduced a feature called Speaker Spot that automatically highlights people who are talking during a video call and shows them first on the screen.

The company has also rolled out an update called Meta Low Bitrate to make WhatsApp calls better on older devices or places with poor internet, which will significantly improve audio quality.

The company said that these new features will be available to all users in the next few weeks.
