Ambient instrumental hip hop: after the standalone single released just a few weeks ago Moonlight proffers the currently very productive one Intrigue aus Purbalingga in Indonesia mit Orange already the next little bite of fantastic chill(out) beats.

After the crackling nostalgia from a dreamy-melancholic piano line Decisionsthat somewhere in between Burial, The Caretaker and early James Blake revels, moves, through the elegiac past Intrigue his instrumental soundscapes of beats, loops and samples tinkered primarily along padded guitar figures that doze and splash, muffled clacking and like sedative old-school dubstep in a trance meander casually around the vaguely sketched forebodings of somnambulist melodies before the particularly tender Left Behind ended the dance just as fleetingly as it began.
So yes, Orange is like all previous releases of Intrigue Unobtrusive and relaxed, imaginatively inviting and yet more of a pleasant background accompaniment in which the individual passages blur into one another relatively uniformly. But in some phases it’s just the ideal soundtrack to create a little comfort zone. In this respect: a recommendation with little objective fan glasses in the rating for Orange.
