Addicted to series regarding vampires and zombies, he knows everything regarding your favorite stars, with a slight preference for what happens across the Atlantic. Although he has the hot blood of the Spanish, he still maintains his very French humor and never shrinks from a well-intentioned play on words.
In 2009, Florence Arthaud had an encounter that marked the end of her life. A story that went beyond friendship with a woman, who decided to confide in this relationship unlike any other, in an interview given to “Gala” this week.

On March 9, 2015, all of France woke up very touched following the announcement of the death of Florence Arthaud. The one nicknamed “the little bride of the Atlantic” lost her life in a helicopter crash in Argentina during the filming of the show Dropped. An accident which also cost the lives of Camille Muffat and Alexis Vastine and which left its mark forever. More than 8 years following her death, the sailor continues to be very present in memories and while a film retracing her life was released in the cinema, a relative of the native of Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine) decided to release a book to evoke the woman she knew better than anyone in the last years of her life.
With Florence Arthaud secret (Editions de l’Archipel), Kaya Lokay speaks publicly for the first time regarding this relationship which changed her life. “I understood that I was turning a page in my history”she writes in her book, proof of the intensity of this encounter with a woman like no other in 2009. “We had a lot in common, we were often asked if we were sisters. As I came from a background other than sailing, more artistic, she perhaps appreciated that I took a fresh look at her”recalls the navigator’s confidante in an interview with Galabefore discussing their relationship more intimately: “Florence was a great seductress, I don’t think I was the only woman in her life. She was very free. She might fall in love without it being sulphurous. Our relationship was not platonic but it was not sexual no more. Sensual rather.”
A special relationship that makes people jealous
A story like no other for Florence Arthaud, who was notably in a relationship with Olivier de Kersauson, “the great love of his life”, as Kaya Lokay describes it. For her part, the one who is a director and producer is in a relationship with a woman and her privileged relationship with the navigator does not work. “She was doubly jealous because she was a big fan of Florence and would have liked to be in my place. One Valentine’s Day evening, she smashed two glasses once morest a wall because I had spent my time chatting with Florence”says Kaya Lokay, before concluding: “But we stayed together for 30 years and raised a son, who will soon get married.”
