– We did not understand in which direction the club is moving. They wanted to rejuvenate, refresh the composition, but it did not work out for certain reasons. I was given to understand that the club does not have the opportunity to rebuild the team in this vein.

— Did not give all the best in training?
– No. So I can’t say for sure! Everyone trained well. We once had a conversation with Kirill Panchenko. I told him: “I give the players their due – you give yourself completely to the process.” He replied that the players see how the coaches give all the best, and therefore they cannot give themselves any indulgence. I thank them all for their professionalism. The guys came out and fought for points with sheer enthusiasm. But in the subconscious, they still had all sorts of disturbing thoughts.
– In the first three spring rounds, Arsenal scored only one point. Hands down?
– It is clear that defeats do not add optimism, they affect psychology. But if we analyze all 14 matches in the FNL in the spring, then we did not lose to anyone in the game. Or rather, 13 games. It is difficult to evaluate the match of the last round with Khabarovsk – the children have already gone there. It is difficult to demand something from them, especially in such conditions …

It is difficult to motivate children for big tasks when the situation is not cleared up every day. No, they fought, frankly they didn’t serve the number, but you can’t get into everyone’s head. I would like to sign young players for three years and develop them.

– Too young players played there. Some of them did not even pass the youth championship – from the UFL they immediately got into the FNL. It’s not easy to jump to that level all at once. However, everyone saw the potential of these guys. It was not easy for anyone with them. At the end of the season, they won several spectacular victories. Just a little lack of experience and time. If they had stayed in the FNL, they would have made it in this league already, I think the result would have been completely different next season. When I worked at Krasnodar-2, I had Matsukatov, Sergeev, Borodin, Litvinov, who by that time had already played in the FNL for a year, had an idea of what kind of tournament it was. Were adapted to long journeys.

– There are collection dates. But we can’t even come to an agreement with potential rivals in test matches.
