The coach seemed very proud of his little 15-year-old protege, who did him a great honor. “Thank you for trusting me and giving me a second chance,” Livia said instinctively. Thank you for all your advice, you knew how to be a good coach.

The young Saguenéenne had not yet planned to register for “La Voix” this season. “I was only 14 at the time of the pre-auditions, and I thought that I would try my luck next year, she explained to the QMI Agency. But I know Caroline Riverin who works with “La Voix” and who advised me to try. So I went there to see, telling myself that I had nothing to lose, that it did not matter if I was not taken.

Against all odds, she was selected to take part in the blind auditions, but her rereading of the song “Entre l’ombre et la lumière”, by Marie Carmen, did not convince the coaches of “La Voix”.

A few days following the recording, the 15-year-old girl received a call from Roxane Bruneau telling her that she had been taken on her team of six candidates for the “La deux Voix” competition.

“From the first rehearsals, Roxane immediately knew what I had to work on. She has a very friendly approach, which immediately puts us at ease. She was able to reassure me and make the atmosphere pleasant. I felt like I was working with a friend.”

She then passed her duel with Audrey-Ann with flying colors, before finding herself in the final with Sarah Vanderzon and Sébastien Meloche.

“With Roxane, I feel like I learned to let myself go more, to be more spontaneous when it comes time to perform. I tended to think of lots of little details when I’m on stage, but I realized that you have to do it before the performance.

After the unveiling of the results, Livia St-Pierre had the chance to share the big stage of “La Voix” with her coach. “It might have been a very stressful context to sing with her on Sunday evening, but in the end, you just have to stay focused on what I have to do. It’s sometimes difficult to stay focused, but that’s what allows you to deliver your song well.

In the future, Livia St-Pierre first plans to continue her studies, she is currently in secondary 3, and continue to work in the troupe of Quebec Issime. “After high school, I would like to eventually go to a music program in Cégep, and with the scholarship, I would like to make myself a little home studio with a good microphone so I can record stuff and share it on social media.”
