Interpipe Supplies Train Wheels to Moroccan National Railways

The Ukrainian manufacturer sent a large batch of train wheels to the National Railways Office (ONCF). The lot includes more than 2,600 wheels, according to railway media, Railway Supply, which quotes the manufacturer.

“ONCF generally launches tenders regarding once every three years, concluding long-term agreements with suppliers. As part of this contract, the Moroccan office will use Ukrainian products to update its fleet, including Fiat AnsaldoBreda electric trains, as well as freight cars, “says the same source, without specifying the amount of the contract. .

Alexander Garkaviy, director of the rail products division at Interpipe, points out that the group has worked with the ONCF for regarding 15 years.

“The company has established itself as a reliable wheel supplier. Morocco is expanding its fleet of rolling stock as part of the construction of high-speed train lines. Interpipe therefore hopes to pursue the development of the partnership with the ONCF,” says Garkaviy.

“Generally speaking, the African continent is a promising market for the development of the railway product offer. We are already cooperating with Mauritania, Gabon, Egypt, and we plan to expand our presence in other countries in the region,” he continues.

Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company and manufacturer of steel pipes and railway products. The company’s products are shipped to more than 80 countries through a network of sales offices located in key markets in the Middle East, North America and Europe.
