**Interview with Émilie Ducour, Project⁤ Manager at EVENT ETCETERA**

**Editor:** Good morning, Émilie! Thank you for⁢ joining us⁢ today. Can⁢ you tell us a bit ‌about EVENT‌ ETCETERA and ‌what makes⁤ your Vélotour events unique?

**Émilie:** Good morning! ‌I’m happy to be here. EVENT ETCETERA is dedicated to creating engaging public events, and our Vélotour is truly special. It’s France’s premier leisure cycling⁣ event that allows participants to explore cities in a festive atmosphere. What sets Vélotour apart is that we take cyclists through unique and often ‌overlooked locations—places that are not typically accessible to bikes, like ‌historical sites and cultural landmarks.

**Editor:** That sounds fantastic! How do you go about selecting the routes for these events?

**Émilie:** Route creation ⁤is one of‍ my key responsibilities. We conduct extensive⁣ research to identify ‍interesting ⁢sites and negotiate with local‌ authorities and venues. The goal is to create a route that not only showcases the city’s hidden gems but⁢ also ⁤provides a fun and friendly⁣ biking ⁣experience. It’s about connecting people with their cities in a new, vibrant way.

**Editor:** I can imagine that involves a lot of coordination. What challenges do you typically face when organizing Vélotour events?

**Émilie:** Absolutely, coordination⁣ is key! One of the main challenges is balancing the logistics of the event ‌with ‍ensuring safety for all participants. We need to work closely with local governments, police, and the venues‍ we collaborate with ⁤to create a safe and ‌enjoyable⁢ experience. Additionally, weather can always ⁣pose a challenge, so we have‌ contingency plans in‍ place.

**Editor:** That makes sense. The‌ communal and ⁢cultural aspect of Vélotour‍ sounds enriching. How does it foster community engagement?

**Émilie:** Vélotour is designed for everyone, from casual bikers to cycling⁤ enthusiasts. By inviting participants to explore their cities together—often with family, friends, and even new‌ acquaintances—we foster a ⁣sense ⁢of community. It’s about shared experiences, and we celebrate that spirit through various activities along the route.

**Editor:** It ⁤seems to⁤ be much more than just a cycling event. Can you share any highlights from past Vélotour events?

**Émilie:** Each Vélotour is memorable in its ⁢own ⁣right! For example, we’ve had participants ride through the iconic Roland Garros stadium, and they’ve ⁢loved the thrill of cycling where champions play. We also include local artists and performers along the route, which adds ‌to ‌the festive atmosphere‍ and showcases local talent.

**Editor:** That sounds delightful! As we look ahead, what’s next for Vélotour?

**Émilie:** We’re excited to ⁣expand our reach to more cities and ⁣to introduce new themed⁣ editions of Vélotour that celebrate local culture. We’re⁤ also investing in sustainability⁢ initiatives to reduce our ⁢carbon footprint and promote eco-friendly cycling.

**Editor:** That’s ‌wonderful ⁤to hear, Émilie. Thank you for sharing your insights today. We look forward to seeing⁣ how Vélotour ⁢continues to grow!

**Émilie:** Thank you for having me! We can’t wait to welcome more people into ⁣the Vélotour experience.
