Another netizen even shared a photo purportedly showing the US naturalization certificate granted to V. Zelenski. This document issued for foreign nationals who have gone through the naturalization process and met certain requirements to become citizens of the United States.

Pravda.ru the only source cited in the article is a YouTube channel called “John Doe” (in English it’s a hypothetical male name when referring to an abstract person or his name is hidden/unknown, similar to First Name) which has just 33 subscribers and was created in September .

There is nothing else in the channel, just this videofeaturing an alleged employee of the United States Secret Service’s Office of Protective Operations.

In fact, this is just another Russian propaganda attack.

The document is a forgery

How noted Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, the document circulated is clearly fake. Its template is available on the official website of the United States Migration Service on the website. Moreover, it is easy to do online to find more than one document sample.

Ukrinform also revealed certain discrepancies. They compared the sample uploaded by the US Migration Board, another sample found online, and Zelensky’s alleged certificate.

First of all, they pointed out that the real documents have spaces between the three digits of the registration number, while the fake ones do not.

Original documents must have the person’s signature to the left of the person’s photo, the fake certificate does not have it.

V. Zelensky’s photo, which can be seen in the document, can be found in many media, so it is easy to paste it into the certificate template using a computer program.

The video clip itself, in which the officer is allegedly speaking, has not been officially verified, and it does not provide any indisputable, official evidence to support its authenticity.

15min verdict: lie. The naturalization document used as evidence in this story is a fake. V. Zelenskii’s plans to escape to the USA are not reported anywhere else. The only source that provides this information is the Youtube channel, where only this video clip is found.
