Thiruvananthapuram: The International Sports Summit (ISSK 2024) organized by the state government under the auspices of Sports Kerala Foundation with the aim of making major changes in the sports sector of Kerala will be held on 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th at Kariyavattam Greenfield Stadium. Athletes, national and international sports experts, sports entrepreneurs etc. will participate.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event at 6 pm on 23rd. Former athlete Ashwani Nachappa, cricketers Sanju Samson and Minnu Mani will attend the inauguration ceremony.
Seminars and start up ideas
There will be seminars, exhibitions and discussions on sports finance, sports industry, e-sports, promotion of indigenous sports, start-ups in the sports sector, sports health and treatment etc. There will be announcements of new projects and signing of MoUs in the state sports sector. There are also B2B meets, exhibitions, sports film festivals and art events.
Vijayan and Bhutia will come
Former football players of India, I.M. Vijayan, Baichung Bhutia, Shooter Gagan Narang, Indian Athletics Federation Vice President Anju Bobby George, All India Football Federation President Kalyan Chaubey, Former Secretary Shaji Prabhakaran, Indian Athletics Team Coach Radhakrishnan Nair, Cricket Umpire Dr. K.N. Raghavan, CEO, Nivea India. Rajesh Kharbanda and others will participate in the discussion.
Real Madrid center coach Bahadur Shahidi Hanghi, Spanish football expert Alejandro de la Rosa, A.C. Milan technical director Alberto Lee Candela, former Real Madrid star Michael Gonzalez Larsson and Olympic champion and Swedish wrestler Jimmy Alexander Lidberg will be among international celebrities. There will be 105 conferences in 13 venues.
