The Governor of the state, Manuel Rosales, attended the opening of the International Scientific Congress “Dr. Jesús Weir Medina ”and the Multiplural Congress of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zulia, activities that he described as transcendental and fundamental for the takeoff and what the flourishing of our region, the west and all of Venezuela means.
The installation took place in the spaces of the Hotel Tibisay Maracaibo, where, in the company of the Rector and the Dean of Medicine of LUZ, Governor Rosales said that this Congress is part of what the advance of Zulia means in all areas and sectors .
He recalled that on Sunday night the LX Little League Latin American Championship closed and today these two extraordinary congresses are inaugurated, because more than three thousand people have registered and where more than 390 works will be presented. “In addition, personalities, scientists, academics, people from the world of medicine in Latin America, the United States, Zulia and Venezuela will participate.”
Rosales stressed the participation of 57 companies related to this sector with the development of this interesting activity. “Zulia and Venezuela shine due to the progress, the participation in these important historical events for our economic, scientific and cultural development.”
It should be noted that these Congresses are aimed at professionals in medicine, nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Bioanalysis, undergraduate and postgraduate Medicine students. There will be 314 Conferences, 32 symposiums and works by Venezuelan, Colombian and Ecuadorian scientists and researchers will be presented, as well as 11 international speakers from Colombia and the United States, as well as 4 simultaneous Conference Rooms.
As for the Expofacultad, it has 57 Commercial Exhibitor Stands and 60 stalls for Zulian entrepreneurs.
