Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, said that the aim is to promote the knowledge of the Qur’an. This is a competition that has been going on for 40 years. The winners of this year’s competition will get a prize of around Rs 5.5 crore.

All government agencies, Islamic institutions and associations in other countries have been invited to Saudi Arabia to participate in the competition. Each country has to complete the procedures through the Saudi embassies in the respective countries for the competition.
