An international operation carried out jointly on Tuesday morning by Belgian, Italian, German, French, Austrian and American police has put an end to human trafficking using private planes, the federal police announced on Wednesday.
The operation was carried out in Belgium, Italy and France. It was directed from the Belgian federal prosecutor’s office by an investigating judge from Brussels. Two planes were seized in Belgium and five people were arrested, including two in Belgium. They are suspected of human trafficking, money laundering, forgery and participation in a criminal organization.
