International experts train on the development of electric vehicles in Paraguay

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Itaipu Technology Park promote training on the development of electric vehicles in Paraguay and in this framework, a master class was held with international experts in electromobility, at the Itaipu Binational Visitors Reception Center, Hernandarias. This event brought together more than 100 people in Alto Paraná.

The presentation was given by professors Kiung – Jin Ryu and Young – Chan Lim, both professors at Yougnam University – Korea, specialists in Hybrid Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Vehicle Design, and in Autonomous Vehicle Programming and Aerodynamics, respectively.

The instructors focused on the “Sustainable Mobility Revolution. Global Trends in Electric Mobility and Autonomous Vehicles.”

Training for selected technicians

This week, the initial modules of the intensive theoretical and practical training on electric vehicles were developed for the 20 selected technicians from the automotive sector. They are part of the joint progress between Paraguay and South Korea, for the installation of the First Task Center at a regional level in the country.

Among the items to be developed by specific modules are Electric Vehicle (EV) Overview, High Voltage Safety Management, High Voltage Insulation Practice, EV Parts Composition Structure and Function, EV Components and Parts Structure and Function, EV Diagnostic Practice, E-GMP System Structure and Function, EV Diagnostics – Practice.

This first edition of training began on July 1 and will run until July 5, led by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, together with Itaipu Binacional and the Itaipu Technological Park.

Upon completion of the training, certificates issued by the TASK Paraguay Auto Parts Center, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the PTI will be delivered, corresponding to a total of 50 teaching hours.

There will also be a selection of 4 participants for the technical visit to Korea, which includes travel and accommodation covered by the project.

These joint efforts seek to empower Paraguayan companies to access and transition to after-sales services, repair and maintenance of the growing global demand for Electric Vehicles.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce reported that Paraguayan technicians are trained with solid knowledge of technology theory, key aspects of electric vehicle maintenance and high voltage safety, and are introduced to cutting-edge E-GMP electric vehicle technology by top-level professionals from Korea.
