International Cooperation Agreement between UNMDP and SEMG for Medical Education and Research

The National University of Mar del Plata (UNMDP) and the Spanish Society of General and Family Physicians (SEMG) signed an international cooperation and exchange agreement that will benefit the students of our city and the Medicine School.

The rector of the UNMDP, Alfredo Lazzerettitogether with the director of the Higher School of Medicine, Adrian Alasinosigned this signature virtually with Spanish authorities of the SEMG, represented by its president, Maria Pilar Rodriguez Ledoaccompanied by advisor Dr. Benjamin Abarca y Sonia Moralesresponsible for institutional communication.

The reciprocal exchange agreement is intended for residents of the postgraduate degree in Family and General Medicine from Spain in Argentina and also for those who study the same postgraduate degree at the city’s School of Medicine. The firm also aims to participate in joint research with Latin American countries and in extension, transfer and linkage activities in institutional programs of mutual interest.

The commitment of both institutions, the ESM UNMDP and the SEMG, is develop actions that contribute to academic training of the residents who complete the postgraduate course, benefiting the development of the activities of each of the parties.
