The IEST Anahuac University made the International Congress of Medicineas part of the celebrations of the tenth anniversary of the Medicine career, where the teacher David Gómez was also recognized for promoting this type of activities when he was rector.
Present during the inauguration were Gloria Septién, Rector of the IEST Anáhuac, Basilio Kot, Academic Vice Rector, Eduardo Meléndez, Vice Rector for Development and Higher Secondary Education, Carlos García, Director of the Health Sciences Division, José Arturo Vázquez, Coordinator of the Bachelor of Surgeon, Eduardo Martínez, Undersecretary of Health of Tamaulipas and Dr. Juan Hernández, Technical Secretary of Comaem. During the ceremony, a recognition was given to Professor David Gómez, CEO of the Anahuac Universities Network, for the activities he promoted in his management, as rector; for it to start medicine School from IEST Anahuac.
One of the papers presented at this congress was that of “Challenges of the Bioethics of the XXI century”given by the doctor, María Elizabeth de los Ríos Uriarte, who explained that bioethics is the study of the ethical aspects of the life sciences -medicine and biology, mainly-, as well as the relationships of the human being with the rest living beings”.
