The Cooperative University of Colombia, through the Psychology Program, will hold an international conference from October 3 to 5, 2023 that brings together national and foreign experts, with the aim of speaking on aspects of psychology and the resignification of human well-being.
The academic event, which will take place in the University library, is aimed at professionals and students of psychology and different areas of knowledge who want to know, distribute and share knowledge regarding how we currently understand Human Well-being.
Among the international speakers who will accompany the development of this event are from Brazil, Cuba, Spain and Puerto Rico, while experts from different higher education institutions will be from Colombia. During the development of the activity, presentations are expected on:
Strategies for promoting mental health in schools.
The role of psychology in primary mental health care: challenges and challenges.
Mindfulness and mental health.
Psychology in the post-pandemic in favor of dialogue for the resignification of Human Well-being. Biopsychosocial health in contexts of armed conflict: challenges for research and intervention. Mental health, leadership and psychological safety: Challenges to redefine human well-being.
The myth of the intractability of the criminal psychopath, and presentations that will provide tools for Well-being research such as validity and reliability: essential aspects in psychometric evaluation.
In addition, the presentation of free works from the Central University of Chile, Simón Bolívar University, University of Guanajuato, University of Pamplona, and University of La Guajira is expected.
According to the Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Yuli Suárez, this space will be conceived as an activity that will allow participation, dialogue and reflection between academics, professionals, public servants, students and, in particular, the interaction between researchers. “Its importance and relevance are related to the current needs of the population in maintaining well-being, in this way those attending the event will be able to learn regarding topics of interest for the educational, organizational, social and legal context surrounding well-being.”
Likewise, during the event the IV meeting of research seedbeds will be held, an event that promotes the social appropriation of knowledge from formative research.
