The monitoring of antibiotic consumption data and the development of bacterial resistance is a necessary tool for the various actors to deploy a policy to fight once morest antibiotic resistance. This is why, as part of the European Day for Awareness of the Proper Use of Antibiotics, the Ministries of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, Solidarity and Health and Agriculture and Food wanted to organize a symposium interministerial on this topic Wednesday November 20 in Paris.
The first period of discussion will address the perspectives of European agencies on these issues. A second part will show how the surveillance data available in France help the public authorities to adapt their national strategy. The third round table will present examples of concrete actions in the fight once morest antibiotic resistance using surveillance data. Finally, discussions on future prospects for better use of data in the fight once morest antibiotic resistance will conclude this symposium.
Jean-Yves Madec, scientific director of “Antibiotic resistance” at ANSES will speak at the round table “Data for national action” late morning. On this occasion, the Agency is publishing two reports devoted to resistance to antibiotics in animal health.
