Vienna (OTS) – In order to support the Viennese in coping with inflation, the City of Vienna is providing around 140 million euros as a Vienna Housing Bonus 23 . The housing bonus is paid out per household in the amount of 200 euros. Applications can be submitted online until September 30, 2023. Around 700,000 Viennese households are eligible – that is more than two thirds of all Viennese households. In the first few weeks, the Wiener Wohnbonus 23 was applied for and paid out around 500,000 times, most of the applications were made on July 21 (47,348). The City of Vienna has so far paid out around 100 million euros in support services.

The funding arrives in the accounts of the Viennese just a few days after the application.“

Apply for a Vienna housing bonus online by September 30th
The Wiener Wohnbonus 23 is a grant from the City of Vienna. Between July 12 and July 21, 2023, an information letter was sent to every address in Vienna at which one or more people had registered their main residence as of June 28, 2023. The letter contains an individual password that is required for the online application. The Viennese housing bonus in the amount of 200 euros is paid out once for each address. The funding will be transferred to the specified account within a few days or paid out by postal order.
An application for the Vienna Housing Bonus can be submitted online until September 30, 2023. People who are unable to do this themselves – and who cannot apply online through family and friends either – can contact the service line of the Department for Social Affairs, Social and Health Law of the City of Vienna on 01/4000 8040 ( Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). In addition, more than 80 organizations provide support with the application.
