What had been speculated became official, Inter Milan formalized the hiring of Colombian Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, former Juventus Turin. The 35-year-old winger arrives as a free agent and signed for one year, in which he will earn 2.5 million euros a year.

This will be the fifth national in the neroazzurro cast following defenders Iván Ramiro Córdoba (2000-2012) and Nelson Rivas (2007-2011), midfielder Freddy Guarín (2012-2016), and central defender Jeison Murillo (2015-2017).

“I’m very happy. I want to thank God for this opportunity, it is an honor to play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Definitely, very happy, ”said Cuadrado following his presentation on Milanese soil.

Despite having offers from Al Shabab, which put 8 million euros a year on the negotiating table, in addition to Turkey’s Fenerbahe, which offered him 4 million per season, the Antioquia footballer preferred to continue in high competition to continue being the captain of the Colombian National Team for the elderly, in the Qualifiers for the World Cup in North America-2026.

In his eight seasons at the Vecchia Signora, Cuadrado won eleven titles with the ‘Vecchia Signora’: five ‘scudetti’ (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020) and four Italian Cups (2016, 2017, 2018, 2021).

Now, he will start his story at his fifth club in Italy, where he hopes to make his name great.
