Inter Milan also pays attention to Kim Min-jae…Man Utd-Juventus and scout competition

[마이데일리 = 최병진 기자] Inter Milan is also showing interest in Kim Min-jae (26, Napoli).

Napoli are preparing to sign a new contract with Kim Min-jae in six months. Kim Min-jae is making a big success by occupying the position of the main defender in the first year of his transfer. He has already been on the recruitment list of other teams, boasting defensive skills that can be used not only in Serie A but also in the European Football Federation (UEFA) Champions League (UCL).

The team that wants Kim Min-jae the most is Manchester United. Rumors of signing Kim Min-jae from Manchester United have been spreading since last September. Manchester United manager Eric ten Haag wants to strengthen the defense and has decided to target Kim Min-jae. Manchester United is in a position to pay 50 million euros (about 70 billion won), which is known as Kim Min-jae’s buyout.

As Tottenham and Real Madrid, including Man Utd, are also linked with Kim Min-jae, Napoli is quickly trying to catch Kim Min-jae. Napoli are seeking ways to delete Kim Min-jae’s buyout and extend the contract until 2027. During the 2022 International Football Federation (FIFA) World Cup break in Qatar, it was reported that Napoli had a conversation with Kim Min-jae’s side.

However, Kim Min-jae’s side is negative about the proposal to delete the buyout. Napoli would like to raise the amount if it is not easy to remove the clause. The amount Napoli wants is 75 million euros (about 101 billion won), which is 25 million euros (about 33 billion won) higher than the current buyout.

While Napoli are preparing to renew the contract, transfer rumors continue. Recently, even the names of Italian teams have appeared. Italy’s ‘Tutomercatoweb’ said, “Juventus is still watching Kim Min-jae. I hope to strengthen the squad through Kim Min-jae. Juventus tried to recruit Kim Min-jae last summer as well.”

England’s ‘Football 365’ also mentioned the names of teams that Napoli was not happy about, saying, “Man Utd has to compete with Juventus and Inter Milan to have Kim Min-jae.” Napoli will resume the league with Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan on the 5th of next month at 4:45 am (Korean time) in the 16th round of Italian Serie A for the 2022-23 season.
