The Flamingos took very little time to open the scoring thanks to an error by La Franja in their own three-quarters of the court.
Taylor passed to Matías Rojas on the side of the penalty area and without thinking twice he unleashed a powerful left-footed shot that went between goalkeeper Miguel Jiménez’s head and the crossbar.
The early goal caused Puebla to retreat and with it the flow of action in the match decreased significantly.
The first half of the second half was similar to the final stretch of the first half and, although Puebla improved up front, when they were playing better and seemed to be looking for the tie, Inter Miami relied on the quality of their individual players to increase the score to 0-2.

The former Barcelona player, upon noticing Jiménez’s withdrawal, raised his head and passed the ball to Luis Suárez, who only had to push in the gift for the second decisive goal.
With this adverse result, Puebla made its debut on the wrong foot in the Leagues Cup and will face Tigres next Wednesday, while Inter Miami will face the locals on Saturday, August 3.
