Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets will probably have company in Florida. According to a report, Inter Miami are said to be close to signing Sergio Ramos and Jordi Alba. Both players are available on free transfers following their expiring contracts with Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona.

A reunion in Florida is probably in the offing. As the Spanish newspaper Sport reports, following the transfer of superstar Lionel Messi and his former teammate Sergio Busquets, Inter Miami is regarding to sign two more top stars. These are the two Spaniards Sergio Ramos and Jordi Alba. According to the report, the club is said to be “in advanced negotiations” with Alba and are also negotiating a transfer of Ramos. Miami President Jorge Mas announced that “all announcements will be made before July 15.”

Messi had played with the central defender for two seasons at Paris Saint-Germain. However, both let their contracts expire following the end of the season. Alba’s contract with FC Barcelona also ended recently, which is why David Beckham’s club, like Messi and Busquets, would not have to pay a fee. In addition, Alba would encounter another old companion in Miami. The club recently introduced Gerardo Martino as their new head coach.
