Malabo – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, had a series of talks on Friday in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, with his African counterparts who are taking part in the work of the two Extraordinary Summits of the African Union (AU) on humanitarian issues in the Continent and on the fight once morest terrorism and unconstitutional changes of government in Africa.
Thus, Mr. Bourita met with the Foreign Ministers of Guinea-Bissau, Rwanda, Chad, Sao-Tome and Principe, Mauritania, Liberia, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Sierra Leone, Burundi, Gambia, Malawi and Togo.
He also had talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo and with the head of Cameroonian diplomacy.
Mr. Bourita also held a bilateral meeting with the Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Younes Al-Manfi.
These talks focused on bilateral relations and ways to consolidate them in all areas.
Mr. Bourita represents HM King Mohammed VI at the work of the two extraordinary AU Summits which are being held on Friday and Saturday in Malabo.
The Summit on humanitarian issues in the Continent opened on Friday morning, while that on the fight once morest terrorism and unconstitutional changes of government in Africa is scheduled for Saturday in the Equatoguinean capital.
These two extraordinary Summits come at a time when the African Continent is facing several security, health, food insecurity and climate change challenges in addition to internal and community armed conflicts, in addition to the growing humanitarian difficulties aggravated by the socio-economic impact. economics of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
