Intel’s XeSS boosts performance by up to 50% depending on gaming

Intel is actively updating its upscaling technology, XeSS through its latest PC graphics card.

Intel has announced that its AI upscaling technology, XeSS, will be available for use in several games. These games are Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, Dragonfly, Redout 2, Rift Breaker, and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

In addition, it will be available on Enlisted, a free World War II FPS game presented by Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software.

According to the developers of Enlisted, Intel XeSS allows you to experience up to 50% performance improvement at 4K resolution ultra settings.

However, he warned that an Intel Arc graphics card equipped with Intel’s XMX AI engine is required to use XeSS.

Of course, it can also work with AMD or NVIDIA graphics cards by replacing it with the DP4a command, but he added that it may cause several problems.

Meanwhile, various upscaling and frame generation technologies to improve frames are being upgraded significantly recently, and NVIDIA recently announced DLSS 3 of the RTX 40 series and merged frame generation with AI upscaling.
