The performance of Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake, which is due to be released this year, continues to be revealed.
In the test video released by ExtremePlayer of Bilibili, China, the Intel Core i7-13700K and i5-13600K models are compared.
In the CPU-Z benchmark, single-threaded difference between i7-12700K and i7-13700K is regarding 10%, multi-threaded performance improved by regarding 32%, i5-12600K and i5-13600K are single-threaded by 5% and multi-threaded by regarding 40% improved to the extent that
In terms of performance improvement, it is a meaningful figure to some extent, but when looking at the power consumption, it felt disappointing. According to the data measured by ExtremePlayer, the i7-13700K recorded 244W at 5.3GHz clock, which is a whopping 56W increase compared to the previous generation, and the i5-13600K recorded 177W, an increase of 29W compared to the previous generation (i5-12600K 148W).
Of course, it is too early to make a conclusion because it is likely to be an engineer sampling rather than a product sold to consumers, but considering that the release date is not far away, it is judged that it will not change much in the test.
Meanwhile, Intel’s 13th generation Raptor Lake is expected to be released in October following being announced at the end of September.
