More bandwidth will be given, but more people care about when it will be launched.

After Meteor Lake-S was rumored to be launched in the second quarter of 2024, there is now more information about this processor for desktop computers.

According to the information of the account TLC on Twitter, there are currently only 3 processors under development for the Meteor Lake-S platform: 6P + 8E, 6P + 16E and 8P; on the other hand, Meteor Lake-S processors will be provided. PCIe 5.0 x4 bandwidth is expected to be used by M.2 SSD.

In other words, Meteor Lake-S can provide 20 PCIe 5.0 and 4 PCIe 4.0 bandwidths.

As for the Z890 chip part, it will provide 24 PCIe 4.0 bandwidths, 4 of which are newly added by the Z890 chip.

In addition, the Intel Z890 chip will also be equipped with Wi-Fi 7 wireless network specifications.

The currently confirmed information is that Intel is expected to launch Raptor Lake-S Refresh in 2023, which will maintain LGA 1700 and Intel Z790 chip motherboards, followed by Meteor, which was previously reported to be launched in the second quarter of 2024.
