The entry-level discrete graphics accelerator Intel Arc A380 has made its way to some Western reviewers. As it turned out, at the moment the video card does not support Ethereum mining software.
“Unfortunately, no mining program works with Intel graphics. Tried running NiceHashMining, trex miner, lolminer, teamreeminer (all on Windows). Let’s wait for the Hive OS mining platform”— wrote popular video blogger DJ Mines on Twitter.
The cryptocurrency market is going through hard times. The profitability of mining with the help of video cards also turned out to be a big question. It looks like Arc A380 prices will not be affected, at least for a while, due to high demand from miners.
Poor optimization of the Intel Arc drivers also doesn’t make this accelerator a good choice for gaming. However, as practice shows, manual overclocking video card literally “gives her a second wind” and allows you to compete with the GeForce GTX 1650 – a video card of a higher class.
Outside of China, Intel Arc A380 is still not sold. In the Celestial Empire, the video card also only recently went to retail, where it is offered for regarding $193. Previously, it might only be purchased as part of finished PCs.
