Integrity Seal aims to double participation of MSMEs

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Paraguay Integrity Seal was launched, which aims to double the participation of MSMEs this year. It is a key tool for building comprehensive trust in the business climate of companies.

In this regard, the Vice Minister of Industry, Lorena Méndez, mentioned that, in the previous edition, 13 micro, small and medium-sized companies were awarded, in addition to 17 companies. At the same time, she stressed that there is a commitment from the MIC to double these numbers and that more MSMEs can access this seal.

“A very important value is transparency in management, transparency in information, and we have to take this as a decalogue of all institutions and also of the private sector. We have to be, but we also have to appear to be, and this seal gives us a follow-up of all the good practices that we carry out both in the public and private sectors,” said Méndez.

As a second step, he said that progress will be made to give the seal of integrity a value. In this regard, he said that work must be done with the National Directorate of Public Contracts (DNCP), so that this seal has points, an added value where a company or MSME can qualify and be selected for something like public sector contracts, but also for the private sector.

“I congratulate this entire initiative. Being a trilateral commitment with Brazil, Germany and Paraguay is very important and it is our role as a Ministry to be the articulating and disseminating body so that more companies can apply,” he said.

For the director of Legal Advice at Senac, Gisselle Minardi, this seal is a symbol of commitment to ethical and transparency standards, which recognizes integrity in business management and fosters a culture of trust and responsibility.

“Integrity is not an abstract concept, it is a tangible action, it is a constant commitment to truth, justice and transparency. The Integrity seal not only recognises companies that have adopted a culture of integrity in their business management, it is a call to action, a call for institutions, companies and people to commit to integrity in all areas of their activity,” he said.

He added that this new edition will be a catalyst for positive change in our society, generating an excellent business climate and opportunities for healthy and equitable investments both nationally and internationally.

This initiative was promoted by the National Anti-Corruption Secretariat (SENAC) and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), with support from German Cooperation implemented by GIZ, the Embassy of Brazil in Paraguay, the ABC (Brazilian Cooperation Agency), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, among other institutions.
