Jordan, Santiago and Yelda completely integrated the challenge launched by the masters, during the improbable duets of Revolution, Sunday. They had to play love at first sight and bewitchment, and the idea of a wax statue that comes to life and of which the sculptors fall under the spell was perfect.

“It was very interesting to work with Yelda, to be able to interact with someone who has a completely different background and in a style very different from ours,” explained Santiago. It opens a very wide artistic door. It’s as scary as it is exciting.”

Both guys also saw this fusion of the two styles as a challenge. “We are in control, musicality and precision,” explained Jordan, “while Yelda is more in freedom of movement. We tried to pass on our working method to him, and for our part, we also had to do ranges, partnerships, which we are not used to doing. And we didn’t know how difficult it is until we did it. It’s really demanding.”

Very expressive, their revolution is the result of hard work, but also very calculated. “We wanted to think in terms of a trio for this revolution, integrating everyone,” Santiago explained. I think this was the most difficult case. We finally found a structure that encompassed each of our strengths, was complex and visually interesting. It was also difficult to set up because Yelda had several things to do at the same time. She didn’t seem like the most difficult role, but it was the most meaningful.”
