**Interview⁢ with Maria Santos, Coordinator of the Campus Mobile Competition**

**Editor:** Thank you⁢ for joining us today, Maria. The 13th edition of the ⁣Campus Mobile competition has‍ just⁤ been announced.⁣ Can you share what inspired the Claro ‌Institute to continue this initiative?

**Maria Santos:**⁢ Thank you for having me! The driving force behind Campus Mobile is to empower young minds to tackle real-world challenges through innovative solutions. ‍We believe that students are incredibly capable of developing impactful ideas using mobile technology, and it’s exciting ⁢to see their creativity in action.

**Editor:** This year, six categories have been introduced. Do you think any particular category will attract more submissions than others?

**Maria Santos:** Each category has its unique appeal, but we’ve seen a significant interest in ⁢areas like Green Tech & Agtech and Smart Cities. As environmental issues and urbanization become more prevalent, students feel compelled ‍to contribute innovative solutions in⁢ those fields.

**Editor:**‌ The competition now ⁢allows recent graduates to participate as well. How do you anticipate this will enhance the diversity and quality of the submissions?

**Maria Santos:** ⁢Allowing recent graduates opens the door for fresh ideas and perspectives that can⁣ enrich the competition. Those who ⁤have just entered the workforce can bring practical insights gleaned from their experiences, and I believe this will elevate the overall quality ⁤of the projects.

**Editor:** This initiative ⁢clearly aims to foster innovation. Do you think providing students with these kinds of platforms ⁢addresses larger societal issues, or might some argue it distracts from traditional educational pathways?

**Maria Santos:** That’s an interesting debate.‍ While⁢ some may think it distracts from traditional education, I believe it complements it. The skills learned through hands-on projects and ⁢the experience of working in⁤ teams to solve problems ‍are invaluable in ‍today’s job market. It encourages creativity and critical thinking in a way that standard classroom‍ settings may not.

**Editor:** In your opinion, what could be the long-term impact of competitions ⁢like Campus Mobile on students and society?

**Maria Santos:** Competitions⁢ like Campus Mobile can inspire a generation‌ of problem-solvers who are not only equipped with technical skills but also with a sense‌ of social responsibility. The hope is that they won’t just succeed personally but also‌ contribute positively⁢ to society by addressing critical issues through their innovations.

**Editor:** Thank you, Maria. Before ⁤we wrap up, how do you think the⁤ community‌ can ⁣support these young⁢ innovators?

**Maria Santos:** Community support is crucial. Engaging local businesses, mentors, and industry professionals to provide guidance and resources can significantly enhance the students’ ⁢experiences and chances of success. We invite everyone⁣ to be a part of this journey!
