This event is organized by the association Toxic Secretsan organization whose objective is to alert the general public and the authorities to the dangers of pesticides(1).

Toxic Secrets comes from other associations such as Nature and Progress, Future generations and 60 other associations(1).
Toxic Secrets organized, for example, a symposium last December at the National Assembly to denounce the poor application of the law on glyphosate.
The organization regularly updates issues crucial to health, such as the cocktail effect of pesticides(2).

The 2012 study that set things on fire
One of the reports was entitled “Monsanto: the factory of doubt”.
The journalists claimed that the professor had published fraudulent studies, which is false.

They all reply that it is a pesticide and that it is bad for your health.

When two opposite worlds intersect!
Elise Lucet then goes to meet two cereal farmers. One, Vincent, uses glyphosate; the other, Olivier, refuses the molecule and even all pesticides.
The latter explains that he has been without chemical pesticides for 27 years. He does not want to damage his health or pollute the environment.
The meeting between the two men is beautiful. Each tries to understand the world of the other.
Vincent pays 20,000 euros per year for pesticides of all kinds: herbicides, fungicides and insecticides. He protects his body when pouring these phytosanitary substances in his fields.
He explains that the effectiveness of the product is exceptional. A single drop kills every plant it touches. It penetrates the roots of plants and the field turns yellow. Everything is dead.
The two farms cover 130 hectares.
Vincent is alone for his exploitation. They are three at Olivier. For weeding, Olivier has an efficient point machine as well, as well as ploughing.
Vincent doesn’t need to plow.
On an area of 11 hectares, Vincent needs an hour to weed, Olivier devotes the day to it.
Olivier’s yields are slightly weaker and more irregular than those of Vincent.
Olivier’s income is slightly higher than Vincent’s because organic is more expensive.
When scientists sound the alarm
One of the first studies on glyphosate showing its toxicity dates from 1984. But the researchers, under pressure from Monsanto, retracted.
In 1999, Monsanto commissioned a study from Jim Parry, a brilliant toxicologist from the University of Swansea, Wales.
Jim Parry produced a report whose conclusions are very clear: Roundup produces lesions in the DNA.
The study was buried and protected by trade secret for 18 years.
The researcher asked the company to do further research but nothing was done.
The program then focuses on the work of Pr Gilles-Eric Séralini. We see the images of his famous study of 2012 with his white rats with huge tumors.
The researcher explains that he himself was surprised by these results. He reminds us that even at very low doses, Roundup is a deadly poison.
Monsanto manipulations exposed
The report goes on to explain how Monsanto tried to discredit the study by producing counter-studies on glyphosate.
These manipulations were made public thanks to the Monsanto papers.
These internal documents of the company were made public by the American justice during various procedures carried out by victims of cancers caused by glyphosate.
The most publicized was that led by the American gardener, Dwayne Johnson. The American justice recognized that his cancer had been caused by the daily use of glyphosate.
Gilles-Eric Séralini went to the trial as an expert.
At the end of this documentary, three journalists criticized the presence of Professor Gilles-Eric Séralini.
They questioned his probity.
