A 5th grade schoolboy died at Nantes hospital on October 27. The information only came out in the press on October 30(1).
Last Thursday, October 19, the child allegedly fainted in class following being vaccinated once morest the papillomavirus.
We are on the eve of the school holidays.
The drama took place at the Saint-Dominique private college in Saint-Herblain near Nantes.
Fifteen minutes following vaccination, the young student suffered vagal discomfort.
He fell from his chair and injured his head. He suffered from head trauma(2,3).
To organize vaccination once morest papillomavirus within the school, a medical team from Nantes University Hospital was mobilized.
Despite the presence of caregivers, the child was so poorly that the SMUR – the emergency and intensive care unit – had to intervene.
He was transported to Nantes hospital where he would still be staying.
On October 19, the first reaction of the Pays de Loire Regional Health Agency was to explain without any supporting evidence that the child’s fall was due to stress.
The ARS thus stated in a press release published the day following the accident(4) :
“Vagal discomfort around vaccination can occur due to the stress caused by vaccination, but it is unrelated to the vaccine product or to a quality defect in the vaccine.”
How might the authorities be certain that the vaccine product is innocent when no investigation has been carried out?
How can we blame stress when the discomfort occurred a quarter of an hour following vaccination?
That the child was stressed before is possible although it is not reported by the media.
But for him to have a stress-related illness fifteen minutes later while sitting in his chair and returning to class seems improbable.
Why immediately put forward one hypothesis rather than another if we have a clear conscience?
Despite everything, the vaccination campaign was suspended the next day for a period of… two weeks(5).
It’s exactly school vacation time.
Once the emotion has passed, the massive vaccination campaign risks continuing as if nothing had happened, from the first day of the return to school.
Nothing should disrupt the progress of this vaccination campaign desired by the government(5).
A vaccine widely criticized in the United States and elsewhere…
What the ARS does not say is that the Gardasil 9 vaccine, which would be involved in this accident, is a controversial product.
In the United States, this vaccine has been accused of causing serious side effects since it was put on the market.(6).
Manufacturer, pharmaceutical giant Merck, apparently faces 31 lawsuits(4) !
The laboratory is accused of having forced the hand of the FDA, the American agency which authorizes the marketing of drugs(4).
Studies and control tests for this vaccine would have been accelerated(4,6).
Other countries have reportedly been affected by serious side effects during their HPV vaccination campaigns among adolescents.
This would have been the case in Denmark, Ireland, Japan and Bolivia for example.(4,6).
This information was perfectly known to the ARS and the French government(4).
But rather than wait, the health authorities have decided to launch this campaign with vigor by putting incredible pressure on parents and schools.(4,5).
However, the side effects of this vaccine are real.
They are listed on the official vaccine leaflet(7).
They have also been documented by independent scientists such as the Danes Lars Jørgensen and Peter Christian Gøtzsche(8,9).
Gardasil 9 may cause(6,7,8,9,10) :
- headaches,
- fatigue,
- nausea,
- arm pain,
- skin reactions,
- allergies, autoimmune diseases,
- nervous system disorders and even an increased risk of cervical cancer in some patients!
This is a new situation where the benefit/risk balance would not have been respected.
We take perfectly healthy young adolescents, we inoculate them with treatments once morest a distant risk and we create, in some of them, serious side effects.
Now one of them has lost his life.
Is this acceptable?
Is this vaccination campaign justified?
In France, the government has launched a massive vaccination campaign once morest the papillomavirus(2,5).
It is a health policy priority. It was included in the social security financing bill for 2024(11).
All middle school adolescents, girls and boys, were encouraged to be vaccinated once morest these viruses which, in 10% of cases, might cause cervical cancer.(2,5).
These viruses are contagious. They are transmitted sexually. But in the vast majority of cases, infections resolve on their own.(6,12).
The link with uterine cancer is not direct(6,12).
Viruses cause lesions which sometimes, in patients whose condition is at risk, cause cancer following a certain number of years.(6,12).
The risk of cervical cancer is therefore not zero, but low.
And for children in 6th or 5th grade who are vaccinated all the time, the risk, at their age, is almost zero.
Because most of these adolescents will only become sexually active 3 or 4 years later and they will not immediately have more partners or adopt risky sexuality.(13,14).
Gardasil 9 is not the first HPV vaccine to be attempted.
And since these campaigns have existed, the figures for cervical cancer have barely changed, including in countries where vaccination coverage is very high such as the United Kingdom or Australia.(4,6).
It is very likely that an intelligent sex education policy combined with regular medical monitoring would be much more effective in preventing cervical cancer.
This cancer, it must be remembered, is rather rare.
There are around 3,000 cases of cervical cancer per year in France.(15).
