The customer service deployment schedule for the instant and interoperable transfer will be decided at the beginning of March, during a committee meeting which brings together the stakeholders.
Instant and interoperable receipt of bank transfers for individuals and businesses is coming soon. A bank transfer made from one bank to another is generally processed on D+1, or even D+2. After the effective launch of this system, all transfer or payment will be made in seconds.
Contacted on this subject, the president of the Group for a Moroccan interbank system of telecompensation (GSIMT) indicates: “We are in the process of taking stock of the pilot launched two weeks ago. Overall, the results are very satisfactory. We intend to set up a local committee, with all the stakeholders in the project, which are the GSIMT, the banks and Bank Al-Maghrib to take stock of the pilots and decide on the schedule for the deployment of customer service”.
“We are going to convene this committee at the beginning of March and we will give more information on the subject, in particular the definition of this service. Today, we are talking regarding instant transfers, but the platform that we are building goes beyond It also concerns instant payments. This means that any order that goes through this platform and is confirmed is irreversible. It’s practically the same as the SEPA system,” he says.
