A corresponding resolution will be passed in the National Council tomorrow, Friday, as the Climate Ministry announced on Thursday. The new regulation stipulates that it is deemed as consent of other property owners if the planned installation has been announced and no one has responded within two months.
If another apartment owner objects, a valid reason such as safety concerns must also be given in the future. Previously, the approval of all apartment owners was required to install a PV system on a balcony or terrace. Climate Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens) sees the new regulation as an “additional boost” for the energy transition.
