In order to improve privacy, the Instagram is testing a new feature that allows users to hide their likes from others. The information was released by media consultant Matt Navarra.
On his profile on X (formerly Twitter), Navarra shared a screenshot of the function in action. In this testing phase, some users have received notifications informing them of the option to hide their likes from specific people or groups.
With the feature, you can also hide your likes from non-followers, restrict visibility only to close friends or even go further, hiding your likes from everyone — maintaining maximum privacy regarding your activity on the app.
The addition, naturally, is aligned with the Instagram’s commitment to user privacy and will likely make some feel more comfortable and secure using the platform.
