A Meta (formerly Facebook) began offering the service Verified for users of Instagram e Facebook in the United States. The feature, which had already been launched in Australia and New Zealand last month, arrives in the North American country this Friday (17) and offers users a verification seal, greater protection and direct access to support, in addition to priority in reviews and recommendations on the Explore and Reels pages.
Meta Verified arrives for US Instagram and Facebook users
Meta Verified, like Twitter Blue, is being offered in two types of plans US$ 11,99 (BRL 63 in direct conversion to the current quotation) in the web version and US$ 14,99 (R$79) on the mobile platform. Interested parties must be over 18 years of age and provide a photo ID to be approved by the Meta service. However, those who join the service will not be able to change their profile name, photo, username and date of birth.
Unlike Twitter, Meta must not remove verification badges from those who already own the insignia. The Verified service offers benefits similar to Twitter Blue, which also charges monthly fees for the verification badge. Among the advantages, users can have the seal of verification, priority in comments and recommendations on the Explore and Reels pages. Twitter Blue offers pretty much the same things, but still lets you post tweets of up to 4,000 characters.
Those interested can sign up for a waiting list starting this Friday and wait for the approval of the service. With the arrival of Meta Verified, the expectation is that the social network will attract more influencers and companies that seek to expand their digital presence and increase their credibility with users.
