The social network, which only accepted photos in its infancy, has since focused on video. But in its desire to copy (and try to compete with) TikTok, the platform has lost its personality.
And disgruntled users aren’t the only ones complaining. Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, acknowledges that the application has somewhat abused the number of video content put forward. In a story, now deleted, the boss explains that the platform “will always value photos. Photos will always be part of Instagram.”
