Update of one of the most compact and versatile action camera lines on the market, the Insta360 GO 3 has just been released! Enabling recording videos in first person hands-free or using a series of equipment to assist during recording, the newest version of the camera is bringing some new features that will further improve the user experience.

Promising to take motion capture to another level, the product maintains the focus on the ultra-portability of its predecessor, featuring a size smaller than the thumb and a measly 35 grams. With a magnetic body, the camera can be mounted virtually anywhere — from underwater to a wild motorcycle ride.

Filming in 2.7K resolution and featuring motion capture capability QuickCaptureGO 3 features a host of magnetic accessories to further increase its versatility, such as a circular magnet that can be worn around the neck, a specially designed clip for hats, and a stand with an adjustable design to allow for filming of more difficult angles.

Another novelty is the arrival of the Action Podone hub which doubles as a charger and a remote control for the camera. With a 2.2″ touch-sensitive screen, the equipment connects to the device via Bluetooth and allows you to easily view the camera capture even out of the user’s viewing angle. Did you run out of battery? Place the GO 3 on top of the Action Pod allows you to shoot for another 170 minutes.

IPX8 depth certified, GO 3 is also equipped with features such as Stabilization FlowState e 360 Horizon Lock, which, according to the brand, ensure “silky smooth images even in the most action-packed scenarios” and eliminate unwanted tilts or distortions. It also comes with a replaceable lens protector — so you don’t have to worry regarding damaging your gear.

As for the improvements compared to the GO 2, the new camera now has no longer a duration limit for recordings and has a 310mAh battery, which allows you to shoot for up to 45 minutes without the Action Pod — a 50% increase over the old device. It also features an additional microphone, Voice Control 2.0, new recording modes and the Timed Capturewhich allows you to schedule a recording for a specific time.

Those who are immersed in the Insta360 ecosystem have even more possibilities with the company’s editing application. It has features such as Mode FreeFramewhich allows you to modify the aspect ratio of the footage following recording, as well as AI-powered editing features that provide automatic editing to improve problematic aspects in your videos.

Available globally starting today, the Insta360 GO 3 comes with the Action Pod and the other included magnetic accessories, which can be purchased in versions with 32GB (US$380), 64GB (US$400) e 128GB (US$430) – not so much Insta360 official website and retailers (such as Amazon).
