Eighty-nine companies in the province of Lunda-Norte were nominated by the National Social Security Institute (INSS) to pay debt within 30 days.
This year, the INSS began a coercive collection process once morest companies that do not pay their workers’ installments, forcing the debt to be settled immediately, with the alternative, in case of impossibility, being to seize the assets of these entities.
This measure serves to safeguard the rights of workers by making contributions, as established by law.
This is a process in which companies had already been sensitized and had the opportunity to benefit from interest and fines exemption, as well as the possibility of carrying out voluntary regularization, through the conclusion of the agreement that allows the payment of the debt in installments.
Speaking to the press, the head of the national Social Security Debt Regularization and Collection department, Lourenço da Silva, made it known that in Lunda-Norte, 130 companies had been notified and only 29 had regularized their debts and eight had signed a settlement agreement. in installments and the 89 did not respond to the notifications.
He called on the 89 companies to contact the local INSS, with a view to negotiating their debts, because following the 30 days, they will be obliged to pay in full, without negotiations.
